Business Intelligence and Data Analyst, REWS Google Mountain View, CA, USA

Job description

Google operates on a global scale, but each office seeks to emulate the same Googley feel of our Mountain View, California home base. As a Workplace Service Program Manager, you build consistent, outstanding workplace experiences around the world. You design, implement and manage Google's service offerings. You're a great communicator who is comfortable taking on complex projects with a diverse set of stakeholders. You believe that great isn't good enough. You bring an analytical mind to constantly improve the efficiency and efficacy of your projects, from building new workplace tools and applications to mergers and acquisitions. You get satisfaction from knowing your clients are happy, healthy and productive, and are excited about joining a fast-paced, collaborative team that is reinventing what a workplace can be.

You will use data to inform real estate and workplace service business decisions across the globe. You will take a leadership role in providing visibility on key metrics, performance, and opportunities for scale and growth. You will also work closely with Corporate Engineering teams to shape and develop REWS’ (Real Estate and Workplace Services) data architecture, determining how to best structure and visualize key data. You will craft scalable solutions to automate reports and dashboards. You will ensure reports and dashboards that you build deliver high-quality and relevant data to manage our real estate portfolio. You will work with business owners to understand their evolving requirements and with Corporate Engineering to deliver practical but innovative solutions. You will also have the creativity and drive to build your own prototype solutions and to provide training and guidance to team members and partners.

You are naturally curious and you enjoy diving into data to both ask and answer big questions about service performance, real estate utilization and overall planning, for example: predicting impact on team commute times based on office relocations and employee addresses. You are a well-rounded top performer who can be a key contributor in a high-growth environment. You should be a self-starter with good knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and approaches. You can "crunch the numbers" one minute, and critically think through business problems and communicate to stakeholders the next.

Just as Google products always focus on the user, Google offices focus on the Googler. From state-of-the-art green construction projects to maintaining our resident T. Rex skeleton (named Stan), the Real Estate and Workplace Services team builds environments that keep Googlers feeling inspired and energized. We're a team of inquisitive and energetic real estate, construction and facilities operations professionals that are constantly searching for new ways to improve workplace efficiency and make Google a great place to come to work everyday.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with REWS management and their teams to understand their information needs, developing a BI strategy that both fulfills current needs and can evolve to anticipate future ones.
