Job Purpose
The Controller will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Manage accounting department providing information that is primarily financial in nature that will assist its owners and management in making educated economic decisions.
Responsibilities Include:
· Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
· Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
· Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
· Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
· Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
· Evaluating accounting and internal control system, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
· Manage all accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
· Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
· Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to external auditors
· Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
· Oversee regulatory reporting
· Mentoring and management of accounting staff
Education & Experience:
· CPA or MBA preferred.
· 10+ years in a Controller capacity
