Work with Families (Las Vegas)

QUALIFICATIONS

1. BA degree in Behavioral Health or BA degree in any field plus 1 year experience in Behavioral Health
2. Minimum 2 years experience working with children and parents; demonstrated ability to form supportive and nurturing relationships with multi-problem families.
3. Knowledge of child development and parenting skills.
4. Capable of working with diverse cultural populations.
5. Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Must have access to safe transportation with appropriate drivers' license and automobile insurance as required by the State.
7. Must pass a background check 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and work with clients and their families referred to program.
2. Travel to and from client homes, arrange and/or take client to scheduled appointments and services
3. Provide appropriate and timely services as indicated in safety plan and optional services as agreed upon by agency and case manager.
4. Monitor the physical and emotional health of children in the home and assist parents in demonstrating how to care for them.
5. Attend regular meetings with supervisor to review case history and implement safety plan; attend staff meetings and staffing as requested.
6. Maintain accurate and timely written reports, summaries and logs.
7. Adhere to all contractual agreements between the organization and funding sources and adhere to agency policies and procedures.
8. Demonstrate respect for client in a non judgmental manner and will respect client's rights to privacy and confidentiality.
9. Carry out activities in annual work plan and agency's strategic plan.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Successfully complete any training/orientations required by agency and/or funding source.
2. When subpoenaed, testifying in court regarding a case according to policy.
3. Administer evaluative/assessment instruments upon request of case manager and/or supervisor.
4. Knowledge of community resources and ability to refer families to appropriate services.
5. Network with referral sources, community agencies, etc.
6. Attend special meetings, training's, workshops, conferences or join committees related to job as requested by supervisor or executive director.
7. Other duties as requested by supervisor and/or program manager.
