Job description
The primary responsibility of the Employment Recruiter is to actively source, interview, recommend and hire prospective management and executive level candidates for assigned positions utilizing available tools and to maintain an overall database of candidates. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian I The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruiting plans specific to the needs of the requesting Department to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure effectiveness.
- Meet w/ hiring managers to create/update job descriptions and qualifying questions.
- Lead the creation of the recruiting, interviewing and debrief plan for each open executive position.
- Use social media and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
- Recommend candidates to interview and determine salary, benefits to encourage candidates to accept positions.
- Develop and maintain an overall database of candidates for assigned positions for senior management to review.
- Direct Employment Coordinators on administrative duties relative to sourcing, selecting, typing job offers, obtaining Gaming and drug tests, processing, on-boarding and relocation.
- Supervise Employment Coordinators on the gathering information for employment, relocation and tax reports. Ensure the quality and timeliness of the reports are perfect.
- Improve Company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
- Research and create new innovative ideas for recruiting.
- Review and analyze monthly employment and web site reports for required process improvement.
- Network and attend local professional meetings to create contacts within Las Vegas.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts at all levels of management.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to The Venetian | The Palazzo appearance standards.
- Maintain consistent adherence to the The Venetian | The Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must possess at least 5 to 7 years of Staffing/Recruitment experience with a strong. understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to Corporate staff.
- 2 year degree from a recognized college or university, 4 year degree preferred.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, communication skills and team based project experience and a willingness to learn and execute new processes.
- Clear understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle processes.
- Must have experience on mapping and sourcing resumes from all sources and being able to meet with the candidate to determine their qualifications/abilities.
- Strong vendor manager skills related to recruitment activities such as search firms and job boards.
- Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office and in depth knowledge of data mining and internet research.
- Experience in general HR functions and working with a 4/5-star casino is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
- Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.
