This position serves as primary contact for a variety of stakeholders including news media, media, meeting and convention planners, resort partners, community organizations, travel agents, internal LVCVA staff and others requesting photos from the News Bureau. Serves as graphic designer for News Bureau photo exhibitions, special projects and collateral material.

- Evaluates requests to determine if they are in line with LVCVA policies regarding the use of photos.
- Conducts research of News Bureau assets in the database and vault for fulfillment of requests, exhibitions and special projects.
- Selects appropriate images that best represent Las Vegas and the LVCVA to fulfill requests.
- Maintains relationships with agencies and organizations which can assist clients with photography needs. Refers clients to other resources as appropriate.
- Explains policies and procedures regarding use of photos, permissions and license agreements, and liaises with legal department. Prepares license agreements as needed.
- Collaborate with News Bureau Director on concepts for exhibitions and displays in the LVCC and community. Design and plan artwork. Coordinate production, delivery and installation with internal departments and external entities.
- Support the goals and policies of the LVCVA, the Public Affairs Department and the Las Vegas News Bureau and serve as a positive representative of the organization.
- Skilled in research and evaluating legitimate resources to assist with the identification of imagery.
- Experience with evaluating photographs for use in graphic projects.
- Keep abreast of destination events and activities, trends in order to effectively research and provide relevant images.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite programs of Illustrator. Photoshop and InDesign in a PC and Mac environment.
- Expertise in photo editing, toning and scanning
- Expertise in the design and production of large format print projects and collateral material.
- Sense of urgency and ability to remain calm in a deadline driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure and keep multiple complex projects moving forward to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with photographers and other graphic arts professionals.
- Must be able to work independently; self-motivated and foresee the necessary work to be done.
- A demonstrated ability to quickly adjust to changing work environments and ability to work quickly and with accuracy under deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Associated Press style and proficiency in writing photo descriptions, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must work in a professional manner with internal, external clients, executives, and all levels of the organization and with partner and community organizations.
- Responsible for staying abreast best practices both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Las Vegas history.
