POSITION SUMMARY
Position will support the medical management department. This position provides a wide variety of general administrative support to management team and department. Composes routine correspondence, compiles data for routine reports, file maintenance, answer telephones and coordinates calendars and books travel for management team. Supports the new hire process, scheduling new hire orientation, completing I9 verifications and other staffing related tasks as assigned. Provides back up to the Executive Assistant at the health plan.
FUNDAMETNAL COMPONENTS
- Screens telephone calls, answers routine questions and furnishes information.
- Opens, sorts, distributes, scans, organizes, prioritizes and responds to mail.
- Coordinates calendars; scheduling meetings, room reservations, hospitality arrangements.
- Operates and maintains various office equipment.
- Orders and maintains office supplies.
- Significant portion of duties may be in support of basic technical discipline (e.g., sales, underwriting, network, etc.).
- Organizes and maintains files of supervisor's correspondence, records etc. following up on pending matters.
- Coordinates land and air travel arrangements.
- Produces a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations using the appropriate software.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- Candidate must possess a minimum of one year administrative support or technical support experience.
- Healthcare background/experience is highly desired.
- Familiarity with Medicaid is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS office suite including Vision, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
EDUCATION
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
