Purchasing Coordinator BulkSupplements.com - Henderson, NV



The primary purpose of the Purchasing Coordinator is issue Purchase Orders for procurement of raw material and supplies. The desired candidate will be detail oriented and highly organized. Must be able to work under pressure. Good negotiating skills needed. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook, Excel and Word. This position is fast paced and requires someone sharp and smart to handle it.
Essential functions of the job:
  • Enter and place orders.
  • Negotiate and confirm pricing prior to placement of orders.
  • Purchase order creation and follow-up with vendors.
  • Contacting vendors to obtain tracking information and expediting when needed
  • Communicating with customers by providing tracking and material updates.
  • Shipping of items from our distribution center.
  • Maintain adequate stock of office supplies. Anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain Inventory accuracy including; material movement from incoming receiving to stocking location, issuing of parts and closing assemblies.
  • Organize stockroom to ensure ease of access to parts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate with the Accounting and Service departments regarding issues on purchase orders.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager and Office Manager to deliver exceptional customer experience and accurate cost accounting.
  • Review all vendor bills for accuracy, input into QuickBooks, and update information into our CRM
  • Ensure all documentation is handled/maintained in a timely and organized manner
  • Ensure that all queries are addressed and resolved as soon as possible
  • Develop strong professional relationships with vendors to ensure excellent service and most favorable prices
  • Develop primary and secondary Vendor Supply Base

Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • At least 2 years of customer service support with shipping and order processing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Familiar with or have worked with a CRM or order management system.
  • Familiar with Quickbooks.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions as well as communicate effectively through email and on the phone.
  • Experience in working with vendors.
  • Ability to accept guidance and work with others.
  • Punctual and reliable individual who enjoy variety in their work.
  • Ability to create shipping documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
