Weekend Front Desk Concierge Sterling Ridge Assisted Living + Memory Care - Las Vegas, NV 89119


$20,800 a year - Part-time
PURPOSE
The Receptionist provides the first impression to the Community and should therefore embody the philosophy and mission of the organization. The Receptionist will greet all residents, family members and visitors, answer the telephones, take and deliver messages and responding to the Executive Director’s directions.
Additionally, the Receptionist will provide clerical support for all departments. They will also provide back-up support in bookkeeping and recordkeeping. The Receptionist will answer questions, complete inquiry sheets and give tours as needed to support the Community Relations Department.
The Front Desk is the communication hub for the Community so proper coverage is important during business hours. The Receptionist may occasionally be asked to take a deposit to the bank or give a tour. It is the Receptionist’s responsibility to find another staff member or Department Head to cover the Front Desk duties prior to stepping away.
INFECTION CONTROL
Exposure to blood or bodily fluids is not likely.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Works in Long Term Care Community in Las Vegas, NV
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Ability to walk, reach and bend comfortable and frequently while moving through the Community
  • Ability to sit or stand comfortably for extended periods, with appropriate breaks
  • Ability to push wheelchairs, ambulate residents and lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Possesses fine hand coordination, visual acuity and a memory for detail
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test as a condition of employment, regardless of operating a motor vehicle
  • CPR and First Aid certified

ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities ( with or without accommodation)
  • Represents the Community in receiving residents, family members, staff and the public in a positive, helpful, and caring manner
  • Directs residents and guests at the desk to the appropriate office for assistance, resident apartment, or activity area
  • Promptly and politely answers the telephone and directs calls to appropriate party, minimizing “holding” time and taking messages as necessary in a neat and comprehensive manner
  • Maintains records of resident and guest sign-ins and outs
  • Understands and demonstrates Community mission and philosophy
  • Provides clerical support to all departments, as assigned by Executive Director, in a timely and organized manner including bookkeeping and reporting functions when assigned
  • Provides support to Community Relations Department by completing inquiry sheets, answering prospective resident and family questions and conducting tours when necessary
  • Copies, collates, and staples materials as requested
  • Maintains files and provides support to other departments by filing, typing labels, and similar functions
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail and process outgoing mail
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters dealing with personnel, resident information, or management issues
  • Ensures that lobby, reception and entry areas are kept clean, safe, and orderly
  • Notifies appropriate staff of unsafe situations within the building or grounds
  • Notifies Executive Director of any resident emergency or hospital transport
  • Directs emergency services as needed within the Community
  • Works with other staff to maintain continuous coverage of front desk, telephone answering, taking and delivering messages
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains current knowledge of regulations affecting resident interactions
  • Ability to work with wide range of persons and needs
  • Possesses or learns marketing skills
  • Reports all incidents and injuries to supervisor immediately, whether to self or witnessed incidents and injuries to residents, employees or visitors
  • Attends and participates in training, in-services and staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
