Assistant Executive Housekeeper


Description:

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is an integral part of the development and promotion of the exciting changes at Tropicana Las Vegas.
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Ensures all areas of the hotel meets or exceeds the established standards.
  • Performs written inspections, visual inspections, and issues disciplinary action progressively when in need.
  • Continues to help with the Team Members and follows directions from higher management. 
  • Continually follows up on reinforcements, seminars, training and Team member's literature distribution. 
  • Walks hallways to ensure all areas are kept up to standards including guest rooms, lockers, stairwells, as well as chutes and elevator tracks and landings.  
  • Ensures standardization and quality of all work being done by assigned staff with observation, communication and inspections. 
  • Inspects and follows-up with Manager and/or Director on Team Members' progress to ensure the Team Member is up to standards with the hotel in all duties required of them. 
  • Records all Guest Room Attendants' progress.  Follows up with inspections daily and/or coaching when needed.  Maintains accurate work records related to daily duties.
  • Annually trains Team Members on follow-ups regarding training assigned to staff in the department and keeps records of each Team Member that was trained, re-trained and annually trained. 

Requirements:

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a 1000+ room property.
  • Able to manage others, concentrate amid distractions, observe, pay attention, remember details, and make decisions while demonstrating the appropriate method of working professionally.
  • Works rapidly, follows directions, hearing, listening and being able to communicate in English, write in English and be able to detect if a Team Member is not performing properly.
  • Able to coachTeam Members and  to follow up as needed to ensure Team Member is making progress. 
  • Understanding of Culinary Contract preferred.
