Responsibilities
General Summary:
The
individual will contribute to the success of both strategic and
tactical initiatives of the finance department by leveraging technology,
innovation, and creativity for continued quality and process
improvement. Individual must have a high degree of self-motivation with
the ability to self-direct, track, measure and document within a
professional environment while balancing multiple priorities with
limited supervision. General responsibilities include business analysis,
process improvement, reporting, and application administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Analyze
business and operational processes across the finance department to
identify opportunities and make recommendations, facilitating solution
definition and documentation, successfully integrating business
processes, roles, and technology to ensure business objectives are met

§ Develop,
implement, and support reporting needs for a variety of financial
applications and processes. This will be accomplished by gaining an
understanding of the underlying processes, systems and data models and
by utilizing multiple reporting methods and tools.

§ Perform
daily responsibilities for general ledger processing including running
batch jobs and system balancing. Also includes month-end processing.
|
§ Support/maintain
application level setup and security administration for on premise and
SaaS applications, including addition/deletion of system components and
users, logging cases with internal or external vendor helpdesk, etc.
|
§ Support end users in troubleshooting problems, performance issues, etc.
|
§ Special
projects as needed, including but not limited to system upgrades,
testing and implementation of new systems or components, and creating or
updating documentation of processes.
§ Cross-train and learn responsibilities of other team members for backup purposes

Qualifications
§ Proven ability to learn new systems and skills
§ Ability to understand, evaluate, interpret, assess, and translate business user’s needs into actionable solutions
|
§ Ability to clarify, define, and document information and processes that can sometimes be challenging and/or complex
|
§ Excellent listening and communication skills to foster strong working relationships
|
§ Ability to assist and teach others in the basic concepts and skills of business analysis and reporting
|
§ Must have intermediate-to-advanced PC and MS Office skills (PowerPivot, Power Query, and Power BI experience is a plus)
§ Experience with SharePoint site content administration is a plus
|
§ Experience writing reports from ERP or relational database
§ Light-to-medium
coding ability is required on occasion; experience with VBA and SQL is
preferred, but must also have the ability to learn new coding languages
for light development
§ Strong people skills are needed to influence and negotiate with internal customers
§ Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
§ Self-motivated and resourceful
§ Lawson experience a plus, but not required
Work Experience and/or Education:
A
bachelor’s degree in a business or IT field of study is preferred, but
may consider applicants with appropriate work experience without degree.
4-5 years of work experience in an IT role supporting users or ERP
systems, or a business systems /analyst role with emphasis on
systems/applications.
