Technical Support Analyst Baseplan Software - Las Vegas, NV


Baseplan Software is a well-established and fast-growing ERP Software company with a high profile in the fleet management and rental equipment industries. Baseplan is seeking an experienced software Technical Support Analyst to join our local team based in Las Vegas.
The following are desired competencies:
  • Integrated Development Environment (VB.NET is desirable).
  • Good TSQL ad SQL server knowledge
  • Ability to produce clear, elegant code
  • Ability to maintain other developer’s code.
In addition, you must have at least two of the following:
  • 3 years of experience working in a software development environment
  • experience in the Rental and/or Equipment Servicing industries
  • experience working with ERP systems
  • Tertiary qualification in IT
  • Microsoft certifications preferred but not essential
Role responsibilities
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in the following areas:
  • Provide technical support to Customers, liaising directly with them to investigate and resolve queries.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all queries, providing concise and accurate information.
  • Identify chargeable activities
  • Contribute solutions to the FAQ database
  • Deploy software releases and patches to Customer environments
  • Complete basic to complex quality development / enhancements / code changes according to specifications
  • Undertake unit testing of developments / code changes and liaise with the Quality Assurance team
  • Write specifications, with team leader support
  • Strong verbal and written English communications skill (with Baseplan staff and Customers)
  • Provide support to the team leader in estimating time taken to complete software development, based on the specification
  • Demonstrate awareness or some ability to see the wider implications of decisions made (implications on Baseplan, on Customer, on internal processes and on other teams within Baseplan).
  • Ensure administration, such as time sheets are completed timely and accurately
  • Effectively communicate with all team members
  • Demonstrate creativity in solutions
  • Assist where required with other duties
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as they arise.
  • Ensure work is being completed within the estimated time, and communicate issues with the team leader
  • Conduct peer reviews of development / code changes
  • Strong ability to solve problems

  • Crystal Reports
  • Objective C, iOS
  • IIS 6/7/8
  • ASP.NET/MVC/Web API
  • JavaScript
  • Flash/Action Script 2/3
  • PHP
  • Mobile App development
